Pharmaceutical
GMP - (Good Manufacturing Practice).
GMP is concerned with both
production and quality control. It ensures that
pharmaceuticals are consistently produced and
controlled to the quality standards appropriate
to their intended use and as required by the
product specification. Vitabiotics products
are classed as food supplements in the UK but
are produced to the quality standards of a pharmaceutical.
MCA
approval for manufacture of Pharmaceuticals
- The Medicines Control Agency (MCA)
ensures that all medicines on the UK market
meet appropriate standards of safety, quality
and efficacy through checking standards of pharmaceutical
manufacture. Vitabiotics only produces its supplements
under MCA approved conditions.
Vitabiotics
manufacture sites operate to ISO 29002,
ISO 9001-2000. The International Organization
for Standardization is a worldwide federation
of national standards bodies from more than
140 countries. Their standards help increase
the reliability and effectiveness of materials,
products, processes and services.
The above
ensure every Vitabiotics product is produced
to the highest pharmaceutical standards of quality
control, from beginning to end. For example,
every single capsule, out of the millions produced,
is individually checked and the results stored
for 5 years - a level of control not generally
found in normal food supplements. In the UK,
Vitabiotics nutritional products are produced
under stricter pharmaceutical controlled conditions
than those officially required for food supplements.
As well as
the above, Vitabiotics have stringent Standard
Operating Procedures, from Raw Material Purchasing
to Detailed Finished Produce Analytical Testing,
to ensure the highest quality products.
